Job Description

We are seeking a visionary and experienced Project Director to lead our railway infrastructure project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As the Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of this large-scale railway development, ensuring its successful completion on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project management strategies to ensure the successful delivery of the railway project

  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of professionals, including engineers, contractors, and consultants

  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively, making critical decisions to keep the project on track

  • Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues

  • Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including government officials, regulatory bodies, and community representatives

  • Ensure compliance with local and international railway standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key project stakeholders, both internal and external

  • Provide regular project status updates and reports to senior management and project sponsors

  • Implement best practices in project management and continuously seek opportunities for process improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree in Project Management or related field preferred

  • Minimum 20 years of experience including railway project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale infrastructure projects

  • In-depth knowledge of railway systems, infrastructure, and industry regulations

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams

  • Excellent project management skills, including budget management, risk assessment, and stakeholder management

  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies

  • Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making abilities

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification

  • Experience working on international projects, preferably in the Middle East

  • Familiarity with Middle Eastern construction practices and regulations (preferred)

  • Willingness to relocate to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
