Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Project Director to lead our railway infrastructure project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As the Project Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of this large-scale railway development, ensuring its successful completion on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Develop and implement comprehensive project management strategies to ensure the successful delivery of the railway project
Lead and motivate a diverse team of professionals, including engineers, contractors, and consultants
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively, making critical decisions to keep the project on track
Conduct regular risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential issues
Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
Collaborate with stakeholders, including government officials, regulatory bodies, and community representatives
Ensure compliance with local and international railway standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key project stakeholders, both internal and external
Provide regular project status updates and reports to senior management and project sponsors
Implement best practices in project management and continuously seek opportunities for process improvement
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree in Project Management or related field preferred
Minimum 20 years of experience including railway project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale infrastructure projects
In-depth knowledge of railway systems, infrastructure, and industry regulations
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams
Excellent project management skills, including budget management, risk assessment, and stakeholder management
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
Experience working on international projects, preferably in the Middle East
Familiarity with Middle Eastern construction practices and regulations (preferred)
Willingness to relocate to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
