AECOM Associate Director - Buildings Lead in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Job Summary

Requirement for a Buildings Lead to develop the business line based on increasing workload and opportunities for Building Engineering work in KSA.

Responsible for developing and guiding new project opportunities that will ensure sustained profit growth within the business unit.

Serves as a fully capable professional who leads a design or project management group and is responsible for the delivery of large-scale projects from bidding to execution that are within our budget, to the approved programme and to the Client’s satisfaction. The Project Approver acts as interface between the external Client and our professional team and plays the role as mentor to the project management staff. He or she will from time to time act as a Bid Manger for large scale project opportunities and contribute to the development of the company by supporting the senior management team in the implementation of AECOM’s strategies and profitability.

  • Business Development Project Management Client engagement Project Financial Management Team Leadership Management of the team Project Status reporting and reviews Compliance of Project Delivery System (PDS) Compliance of Project Data Quality Mentoring Project Time management Assisting with Project Bids Performance and Reward appraisals Assisting with management of the practice Guiding and management of team and junior staff Recruitment Continuously improve industry knowledge within the practice Assisting senior management with the development of the business Interface with other Practice Groups

  • Under minimal supervision, performs complex duties utilizing advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and methods.

  • Assumes lead responsibilities for a team of engineers and professional support staff.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 20+ years post undergraduate education Minimum 5+ years’ experience delivering complex projects in KSA A proven track record in business development in KSA Proven related professional experience in a Buildings or Project Management Practice

  • Experience of working on large scale projects including site

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.Sc. in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management FIDIC, NEC or other Construction Contract courses Chartered internationally with a body such as RIBA, CIBSE, ICE or similar
