AECOM Design Review Manager in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Responsible for all requirements associated with PMCM to provide everything necessary to manage and supervise all the Contractor’s activities related to the design required by the Contracts; such as design of permanent and temporary structures, highway works, depots, workshops, utilities, systems, ITS equipment, communication elements and infrastructure.
Lead a team of Design Review Engineers through all aspects of project related and contractor management activities
Review and approve design standards to be used by the Contractor for compliance with the contract;
Answer all design related requests for clarification sent by the Contractor
Make recommendations for modifications or improvements to the design or specifications included as part of the Client’s requirements where needed
Review progress of design activities
Review and approve the design QA/QC procedures applied by the Contractor designer
Audit design procedures and offices for compliance with QA/QC procedures
Review and approve Contractor’s submittals (including as-built drawings and O&M manuals at completion)
Ensure that the design is complete and that all the required approvals and permissions by third parties are obtained
Coordinate aspects of projects submittals and deliverables, reviews and approvals against contract requirements.
Ensure that all the designs are integrated including ITS and Communication elements
Ensure that the contractor is compliant with all contract requirements related to Design
Support any valid applications to the competent authorities by contractors for necessary certifications and permissions.
Develop and facilitate regular Health, Safety, Environment Meetings
Ensure quality and timely delivery of infrastructure deliverables to AECOM’s internal and external clients.
Undertake technical reviews and progress reporting and liaising with internal and external clients.
Coordinate the implementation of projects, ensuring that the performance is in accordance with respective scope of services and conditions of agreements.
Provide update reports to the project leads or project managers and clients when needed.
Report and advice on any deviations from the same.
Adhere to AECOM Health and Safety and Quality measures and associated policies.
Provide design advice, reports, and liaise with all AECOM internal departments as required.
Undertake job planning and prepare assignments Projects Quality Plans (PQP) including circulation and briefing the entire team associated with any assignment.
Adhere to Project Management basics in terms of Quality, Budget, and Time of assignments. Take full responsibility of design outputs as being properly checked and in line with the design brief and quality standards.
10 years in highways and transportation sector .
Candidate must be prepared to work in Makkah for a minimum of one year on the project
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
