Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Inspector civil to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As an Inspector civil, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of our major roads and infrastructure projects.
Conduct thorough site inspections and supervise roads and infrastructure works to ensure compliance with project specifications and contract documents
Review and familiarize yourself with project contracts, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures
Monitor contractor compliance with standards and specifications outlined in contract documents
Maintain accurate records of contractor resources, including personnel and equipment
Prepare daily reports for the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE), including work orders, materials delivery, and inspection programs
Implement and monitor quality control and quality assurance procedures on-site
Perform site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levels as required
Coordinate with the client project manager during site inspections
Assist in resolving site issues promptly in collaboration with the RE or ARE
Monitor the start-up, commissioning, and handover of site works, maintaining records of project milestones
Conduct audits to ensure conformity with contract documents and contractor-submitted plans
Liaise with contractors to ensure effective management of resources, health and safety, and equipment needs on-site
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roads and infrastructure projects, with at least 3 years of experience in the UAE preferred
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, quality control, and safety standards
Strong familiarity with contract documents, detailed drawings, and project specifications
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in relevant software, including AutoCAD and MS Office
Thorough understanding of local building codes and regulations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
RTA Approval is preferred
Experience in site measurements and surveying checks
Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control procedures in construction
Ability to prepare comprehensive daily reports and maintain accurate records
