Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Material Engineer to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Material Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing, testing, and evaluating materials for various engineering projects, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with industry standards.
Develop, modify, and evaluate materials for engineering applications
Conduct in-depth material testing and analysis to ensure quality and performance
Prepare and obtain approvals for material submittals in all project activities
Design and implement laboratory operations for material testing procedures
Analyze product failure data and laboratory test results to determine causes of problems and develop solutions
Provide technical advice on material suitability and selection based on project specifications
Oversee operational quality control processes and maintain quality management documentation
Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and manufacturing/development staff to address material concerns
Supervise technical staff and coordinate material-related activities across project teams
Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in material engineering
Ensure compliance with local regulations, including Abu Dhabi Standards and Regulations
Contribute to the development of material specifications for roads, structures, and civil infrastructure works
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of overall experience, with 3 years of experience in the UAE preferred
Proven expertise in materials testing procedures and quality control processes
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide innovative solutions
Proficiency in materials characterization techniques and material processing methods
Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and material modeling tools
In-depth knowledge of material properties, behavior, and failure analysis
Familiarity with Abu Dhabi Standards and Regulations, particularly in relation to construction materials
Understanding of roads, structures, and civil infrastructure works
Excellent technical writing skills for preparing comprehensive reports and documentation
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to stay updated on the latest advancements in material engineering
