Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Engineer - Planning to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning and execution of construction projects, collaborating closely with project managers and team members to deliver high-quality results.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using advanced planning software such as Primavera
Analyze and review procurement and construction programs for contractors and subcontractors
Prepare detailed progress reports, graphs, and critical path analyses for weekly and monthly reporting
Monitor actual progress against construction programs and report deviations to senior management
Identify project risks and opportunities, developing mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines
Collaborate closely with site supervision teams to gather real-time progress updates
Conduct independent site visits to evaluate contractor progress against established programs
Support the evaluation of potential additional works and variation proposals
Maintain accurate records of program monitoring to support claim evaluations and dispute resolutions
Participate in workshops and meetings to facilitate effective communication among project stakeholders
Implement and optimize project management methodologies to enhance overall project efficiency
Analyze project data and provide insights to improve planning and execution processes
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
10 years of experience in roads construction
Minimum 5 years experience on infrastructure projects
Previous experience on a UAE project
Proficiency in Primavera and other project management software
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and best practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy in scheduling and reporting
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Experience in the Middle East construction industry preferred
Knowledge of UAE construction regulations and standards is a plus
Willingness to conduct regular site visits and work in a dynamic project environment
Strong time management and prioritization skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis
Adaptability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
