Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join our dynamic team in Doha, Qatar. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in driving commercial success and ensuring the financial viability of our projects.

  • Lead and oversee all aspects of commercial management throughout the project lifecycle, from inception to completion

  • Develop and implement effective commercial strategies aligned with organizational goals

  • Manage contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company

  • Analyze financial data, prepare budgets, and forecast project costs and revenues

  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks, developing appropriate risk management strategies

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and internal teams

  • Lead and mentor a team of commercial professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment

  • Ensure compliance with relevant commercial laws, regulations, and company policies

  • Provide expert commercial advice and support to senior management and project teams

  • Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes and practices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial management or quantity surveying, with a proven track record of success

  • MRICS accreditation (or equivalent) or actively working towards it

  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex, high-value projects in a collaborative team environment

  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis

  • Proficiency in contract management, negotiation, and dispute resolution

  • In-depth knowledge of commercial laws and regulations relevant to the industry

  • Excellent risk management skills with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks

  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing high-performing teams

  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders

  • Proficiency in commercial management software and Microsoft Office suite

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

  • Experience working in the Middle East region is highly desirable
