Facilities Coordinator in
The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator reports directly to the Project Manager. Providing assistance with the approval, submission, and tracking of work orders in regards to buildings and installed equipment. This includes coordination, planning, and arranging repairs through local vendors on Warehouse Extensions, maintaining the URS Facility Work Order Tracking System, and automated website. This position requires good communication skills both verbally and written, and excellent organizational competence.
Serves as the primary customer contact for all Facility work orders and repairs.Responsible for the approval, submission and tracking of work orders, to include updates on completed work orders and/or cancellations.
Maintains the URS Facility Work Order Tracking System, and automated website.
Responsible for the tracking and submission of Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) to the government on a weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly basis.
Coordinates with work center/DPW (Department of Public Works) for repairs on installed equipment and Facilities in the Maintenance and Supply areas.
Coordinates and supervises maintenance and repair with local vendors for items not covered by the work center/DPW.
Escorts local vendors, obtain temporary badges onto base for repairs.
Maintains ISO 9000\-2001 compliant standard operating procedure and work instructions for the Facility Work Orders and procedures.
Responsible for following up on all finished projects with both the requestor and the contractor.
Other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience in records maintenance.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
Excellent customer service attributes.
Ability to work with very diverse workforce.
Strong management and organizational skills.
Excellent communicator both in writing and verbally.
Must have a valid US driver’s license.
Must have an active NACI.
Must be a U.S. citizen and have a current, valid U.S. passport.
Must be able to favorably complete customer and company background investigation.
Material and Equipment Directly Used:
- Computer, related software, and / or hard copy files and reports.
Working Environment / Physical Activities:
Work is generally conducted in an office environment and may require driving to off-site locations.
Duties may involve working in the out of doors with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
Work may require lifting up to 25 lbs, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, and prolonged sitting.
Knowledge in writing SOP’s, Plans, Work Instructions and Project orders a plus.
Familiarity with facility and installed equipment preferred.
