Job Summary

URS/AECOM has an opening for a Human Resources Supervisor in Kuwait.

Ensures implementation and integration of project wide HR initiatives, policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Supervises a professional team encompassing a wide range of functions within the discipline:

a. Interviews, selects and places candidates into open positions.

b. Evaluates staff, comparing objectives and achievements in the assessment.

c. Coaches employees in their professional career development and process improvements.

d. Issues discipline whenever required.

e. Recommends termination or contract non-renewal when appropriate.

  1. Coordinates and directs the work plan for assigned staff.

  2. Processes personnel action forms and assures proper approvals; disseminates approved forms.

  3. Provides oversight for: Contract administration; candidate management; Benefits administration & HRIS.

  4. Coordinates and implements HR processes.

  5. Creates and maintains technical HR related reports in identification of trend analyses.

  6. Refines metrics and reporting systems to track effectiveness of HR Initiatives across contract.

  7. Assists in the module design, development and presentation of training such as Sexual harassment, Diversity, Communications, Performance Documentation and other training initiatives identified by the company.

  8. Works closely with other Leaders in a team environment to assist in the coordination and

communication of various activities for the project, and communicating activities for the company.

  1. Responds to inquiries about policies and procedures from other staff members.

  2. Provides direction to a wide variety of HR Departmental functions and processes including: Employment and Staffing; performance evaluation program, company leave program, employee agreements (EA), LOA process, and record management, the processing of resignations and terminations, and departmental employee recognition.

  3. Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

Experience:

  • 5 years progressively more responsible human resources experience, required.

  • Prior leadership experience desired.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must have strength in multi-tasking while practicing data integrity and document quality.

  • Must be able to influence without direct authority through building effective partnerships

throughout the organization

  • Must be able to conduct oneself in a professional/courteous manner and display a consistent

CAN-DO attitude.

  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and

documentation.

  • Must be able to exercise discretion, good judgment, and solid decision making skills.

  • Must be able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion.

  • Must have high-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.

  • Must be proficient in the use of MS Office, with an emphasis in Excel.

Certification & License: PHR/SPHR Certification, preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting government OCONUS contracts and experience working with a multinational workforce preferred.
