Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan on the Afghanistan - EAGLE contract for a

Specialist- Warehouse/MHE. Leads Warehouseman in daily operations. Provides guidance and assistance to Warehouse personnel on warehouse processes and procedures. Request, inspect, receive, issue and turn-in materials, supplies and property. Conduct scheduled inventories, IAW PWS, for supplies, materials and property. Process and manage excess, recoverable and reparable supplies, materials and property using GCSS-A. Creates and prepares labels for shipping using multi-pack boxes, wooden skid and 463L pallets with netting. Conducts escort of Host Nation Trucks to and from the Entry Control Point (ECP). Ensures correct items are loaded on arriving trucks simultaneously. Ensures proper documentation accompanies shipment and shipment is sealed with tamper proof seal. Operates 5 Ton truck or below for delivering or picking up cargo for delivery to and from the A/DACG, SSA, DRMO or other destinations as identified. Receives cargo from the A/DACG, FED-EX, UPS, DHL and SSA. Operates MHE from 2K through 12K. Conducts PMCS and operator maintenance on equipment and vehicles assigned to the section. Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records. Ensures all receiving and shipping documents are maintained IAW PWS and regulations. Determines method and mode of shipment to customer requirements. Prepares and expedites shipments. Prepares all shipping documents in a timely and accurate manner. Posts weights and shipping charges. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit (RMA). Ensures appropriate adjustment action and documentation is processed for shipment/receiving discrepancies and lost, damaged or destroyed action is initiated and properly submitted. Follows work site and vehicle safety directives, procedures and rules. Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures. Instills a safety first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management System. Expat personnel must be able to operate the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A) to perform their warehouse duties. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Minimum 3 year experience in warehouse, supply, inventory control or related field required.

  • Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may be substituted for years of experience. Example: Two (2) years of experience is equivalent to (2) years of college and vice versa.

  • MHE experience required.

  • NACI / Tier 1 for US Citizens and PCC for Non US Citizens.

  • Valid Driver’s license required.

  • Expat personnel, must be able to obtain a GCSS-A Equipment Records Parts Specialist (ERPS) Certification.

  • Must be able to obtain a 5984-E Army Standard license.

  • Must have knowledge of the Army retail supply system, technical supply operations and established policies preferred.

  • Must have a basic knowledge in the use of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and other related applications.

  • Must be able to use various freight software and label matrix programs.

  • Must be able to function, through demonstrated proficiency, with an advanced level of English, both oral and written.

  • Must have the English language speaking ability to speak the language with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary to participate effectively in most formal and informal conversations on practical, social, and professional topics. Must be able to read standard newspaper items addressed to the general reader, routine correspondence, reports, and technical materials in the individual's special field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • US Army MOS 92A or 92Y preferred.
