Job Summary

AECOM is currently seeking interested and qualified candidates for the Integrated Base Defense – Sustainment Support (IBD-SS) program. Product Manager Force Protection Systems (PdM FPS) and PdM Counter Explosive Hazard (CEH) have requirements for comprehensive training, contractor logistics, operator, and sustainment support services, to include material procurement, for equipment and capabilities in the contiguous United States and outside the contiguous United States. These positions are contingent upon successful award of the IBD-SS program.

Description:

The Technical Instructor/Course Developer is primarily responsible for curriculum revision and maintenance. Technical curriculum may involve electronics, welding, or more highly technical areas such as radio and electronics repair or operation of weapons systems. This instructor uses a computer to organize and draft a curriculum that breaks a complex subject into blocks or units of instruction, creates graphics, and integrates them into curriculum. Courses may be instructor based, computer-based, simulator based, interactive, or non-interactive. This instructor also teaches short technical courses in accordance with approved curriculum to maintain proficiency and to evaluate and develop new instructional techniques/courses. Job duties also include the following: incorporation of new curriculum in the teaching process (e.g., develops clarification or examples of application related to the subject matter), development and maintenance of classroom techniques that reflect professionalism and good discipline and enhance teaching, development of alternative teaching techniques and scenarios to maintain high motivation and interest in the subject areas, and while acting as the testing officer, the conducting of test analysis and development or revision of test items.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4 to 10 years of experience and a BA/BS or MA/MS degree or 12 years of experience in lieu of a BA/BS degree

  • Must have ability to read, interpret and apply instructions, publications, and safety rules

  • Candidates must possess basic networking experience and take and pass an exam to prove it

  • In addition, personnel will attend a training course of instruction that leads to required certification

  • Position will require travel and overseas deployment

  • Candidates will attend the Contractor Replacement Center and complete all processing for overseas employment and be medically fit in accordance with Department of Defense Contract medical fitness requirements

  • Position requires a Security Clearance with access to the Secret Level

  • Vocational/technical training beyond high school required

  • Technical school or military training will satisfy this requirement
