AECOM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan on the Afghanistan - EAGLE contract for an
HR Generalist . Manages full cycle candidate management process to meet staffing needs. Works with hiring managers and interview teams to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates have all required certifications as reported. Creates Offer Letters, Employment Agreements, and other official documents. Acts as point of contact for status of candidates from offer letter acceptance to arrival in theater. Communicates with candidates after selection until arrival in theater. Prepares, sends, and processes new hire paperwork. Obtains and ensures all hiring paperwork is completed and uploaded to OneSource. Coordinates with representatives at CRC for relevant in-processing information prior to arrival and assist with making travel and hotel arrangements as necessary. Facilitates all actions associated with new hire orientation. Designs and maintains New Hire briefing slides. Coordinates with MAP Cell, Security Badging, Billeting and HR as it relates to on-boarding (escorts; 100% accountability; billeting), not all inclusive. Key interface with corporate for new employee credential confirmations, travel planning, arrival planning into theatre and briefing preparations. Provides information, responds to questions, and gives direction and instruction to new hire arrivals regarding any/all indoctrination processes and procedures. Ensures that new hire in-processing documentation is completed thoroughly and upload in the portal as required. Refines and, where necessary, develops new metrics and reporting systems to track overall effectiveness and quality of new hire indoctrination experience. Ensures feedback survey is completed following in-processing and data uploaded into portal for corporate access and trending analysis. Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures. Instills a safety first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management System. Performs other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
5 years’ experience in human resources, preferably in recruitment, on-boarding or talent management, is required.
NACI /Tier 1 for US Citizens and PCC for Non US Citizens
Previous operations coordinating, planning and presentation experience is required.
Attention to detail is paramount.
Ability to consistently track and follow up with candidates.
Demonstrated experience processing high volumes of documents.
Must have a clear understanding of general US employment law and practices.
Must be able to work effectively with all levels of employees, including top, middle and Supervisory levels of management.
Must have strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Must have a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork.
Must be able to exercise discretion and good judgment.
Must be able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion.
Must be able to identify conflicts of interest as they relate to employment situations.
Must have high-level organizational and planning skills, so that workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.
Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office.
Must have the English language speaking ability to speak the language with sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary to participate effectively in most formal and informal conversations on practical, social, and professional topics. Must be able to read standard newspaper items addressed to the general reader, routine correspondence, reports, and technical materials in the individual's special field.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
