Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan on the EAGLE contract for an

Coordinator - Transportation . Responsible for operating Transportation Coordinators Automated Information for Movement System (TC- AIMS). Responsible for operating Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES) Air Load Planning module. Responsible for operating TIPS Write Software to burn Radio Frequency Identification Tags (RFID Tags) for equipment being processed for Movement. Builds Unit Line Number (ULN) Packets for submission to the Theater Movement Control Team. Responsible for receiving, validating, and processing all Transportation Movement Request (TMR) and Air Movement Request (AMR) for equipment transiting, origination and terminating assigned MCT Area of Responsibility. Coordinates between MCT functions to ensure efficient, timely, cost effective support to the customer. Provides movement control support for surface and air movement of cargo through the U.S. Military Transportation System. Identifies and troubleshoots problem areas in movement and recommends solutions to management. Works closely with customers to ensure desired movement objectives, priorities, and schedules are met and communicated to management. Prepares, compiles, and submits reports on work activities, operations, and production. Confers with customers, supervisors, contractors, and other personnel to exchange information and resolve problems. May be required to perform seaport, airport, A/DACG, HTD, HAZMAT and other movement control functions. Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures. Instills a safety first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management System. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Active Secret / Tier 3.

  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • AMC Air Load Planner certification required.

  • DOT HAZMAT Certification / Ammo-62 Technical Transportation of Hazardous Materials or Ammo-37 General

  • Transportation of Hazardous Materials Refresher required prior to start date.

  • Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may be substituted for years of experience. Example: Two (2) years of experience is equivalent to (2) years of college and vice versa.

  • 3 years of Movement Transportation Control and Coordination experience required.

  • Load Planner experience required.

  • Prior experience with TC-AIMS, TIPS WRITE, and ICODES preferred.

  • Army 88N Military experience preferred.

  • Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may be substituted for years of experience. Example: Two (2) years of experience is equivalent to (2) years of college and vice versa.

  • Must have knowledge of movement request through the proper Port of Embarkation (POE) and Port of Debarkation (POD) to ensure the proper abbreviated MIL codes are used.

  • Ability to make adjustments in procedures and operations to accomplish work effectively and efficiently.

  • Must be familiar with Army Information Management Systems for Movement to include knowledge and expertise in the Army Transportation System.

  • Must be able to work effectively with all levels of employees.

  • Valid driver’s license is required.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral English.

  • Ability to prioritize work.

  • Requires a collaborative work style that fosters cooperation and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications

  • US Army 88N preferred.
