Job Summary

AECOM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan on the

EAGLE contract for a

Class IX Supervisor .Supervises a professional team encompassing a wide range of functions within the discipline:Interviews, selects and places candidates into open positions.Compares objectives and achievements in staff assessments.Coaches employees in their professional career development and process improvements.Issues disciplinary action when required.Recommends terminations or contract non-renewal when appropriate.Responsible for day-to-day operations of department.Performs customer service for all GCSS-A related activities in accordance with the GCSS-A End User Manual (EUM).Provides guidance and assistance to assigned personnel on current principles, practices, and procedures to be employed, quality of work expected, and tools to be used.

Plans work schedules, sequence of operations, and distribution of work. Designates workers, assigns work, explains work requirements, procedures and assists with resolving problems.Responsible for generating daily accurate personnel status and equipment reports on the system.Required to gain access to GCSS-A, IGC, FedMall, LIW and WEBVLIPs for parts and document research.Provides analysis, technical assistance, by researching repair part availability and expedition as required.

Analyzes reports on maintenance schedules, performance, requirements and trends, maintenance and supply statuses.

Responsible for training employees in performance data input and analysis, ordering repair parts, opening maintenance work order requests, producing reports in GCSS-A monitoring and prepares report briefs.Accountable for all government and company property that is required, received, stored and utilized.Ensures that equipment and supplies are utilized properly.

Conducts and participates in scheduled, unscheduled inventories and surveys.Reviews and validates document register reconciliations and submits daily supply activities.Coordinates with supporting SSAs for requisitioning and turn in action.Responsible for scheduling leave.Counsels employees on minor problems, resolves complaints, and makes recommendations on appraisals, promotions, awards, and disciplinary actions.Collaborates with direct supervisor of GCSS-A personnel to ensure accurate Employee Performance Appraisal.Reviews accuracy of work and ensures conformance to required standards.Performs duties as the Shop Stock/The Army Maintenance Management System clerkGenerates GCSS-A reports as required.Responsible for maintaining notifications and work orders IAW GCSS-A EUM.Responsible for maintaining records of services performed IAW GCSS-A EUM.Responsible for maintaining records of ordering and managing repair parts IAW GCSS-A EUM.Responsible for maintaining records of dispatching vehicles and equipment IAW GCSS-A EUM.Maintains the shop stock and turn-ins of unserviceable repair parts IAW GCSS-A EUM.Responsible for issuing material to work orders IAW GCSS-A EUM.Responsible for returning any recoverable/reparable material to stock IAW GCSS-A EUMResponsible for entering time confirmations for a work order IAW GCSS-A EUM.Responsible for performing the work order completion process IAW GCSS-A EUM.Responsible for updating the operational status for a piece of equipment IAW GCSS-A EUM. Position Title

Provide training to other GCSS-A positions, as needed.Develops operating procedures for receiving, handling, sorting, classifying documenting, and shipping products or materials.Examines products or materials in order to estimate quantities, weight and type of container required for storage or transport.Interfaces with other departments to determine serviceability of equipment and classificationCoordinates with customers to organize delivery and shipping of supplies.Supervises the assigning of condition codes to equipment.Ensures metric reports are timely and accurate.Directs the ordering and tracking of parts to ensure delivery as scheduled.Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures.

Instills a safety first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management System.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • NACI / Tier 1 for US Citizens.

  • Valid Driver’s license or equivalent required.

  • Must be Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certified or obtained within 90 days after arrival in country.

  • Must possess USG GCSS-A external certification.Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Must possess USG GCSS-A external certification.

  • Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements and/or educational achievements may be substituted for years of experience. Example: Two (2) years of experience is equivalent to (2) years of college and vice versa.

  • 5 years’ experience on GCSS-A along with production control, maintenance or logistics background.

  • 1 – 3 years supervisory experience preferred.

  • Must have good knowledge in the use of MS Office programs: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint with a working knowledge of Adobe and Internet Explorer with position related applications.

  • Must have demonstrated leadership and management skills, including a professional demeanor.

  • Must be able to pass Supervisor and GCSS-A specific Skill PQS within 30 days of hire and as required throughout period of employment.

  • Must be able to work effectively with all levels of employees including top, middle and supervisory levels of management

  • Requires a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork.

  • Must be able to exercise discretion and good judgment with an ability to understand the effects of decisions to the company overall.

  • Knowledgeable in Field and Sustainment maintenance processes.

  • Must be able to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion.

  • Must be able to prioritize responsibilities in order to handle a demanding workload.

  • Must have strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract, compile and analyze data.

  • Must be able to prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations.

  • External GCSS-A certification required.

  • US Government seal GCSS-A certificate.

  • Driver’s license may be required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Former 92A/92Y preferred.
