AECOM Senior Heavy Equipment Technician in Baghdad, Iraq

As an integral member of the Airfield Operations team, the Sr. Heavy Wheeled Technician repairs and maintains a variety of aviation ground support equipment and commercial vehicles to Original Equipment Manufactures specifications with minimal supervision.
Duties involve continuous standing, walking, stooping and kneeling.
Requires climbing, use of both hands, and lifting and carrying of materials.
Work is performed largely inside, occasionally outside; shops are equipped with proper light, heat and ventilation.
Subject to high noise level from power equipment and hammering; welding fumes; and to injury in use of equipment, hand and power tools.
Protective equipment such as goggles, gloves, safety shoes are worn as necessary for safety.
Will work inside/outside in various weather conditions.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
High School graduate or equivalent.
A working knowledge of powered AGE repair procedures is required
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Duties may involve working with fuels, oils, lubricants, and chemical cleaner and solutions.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver’s license.
5 years documented and verifiable work experience.
U.S. passport is required.
MUST HAVE A SECRET CLEARANCE
HVAC 608/609 certification is required
Valid Driver’s License
Must be able to obtain a Military Drivers License
- Should have experience in the Army 63B/91B Series MOS or equivalent or have completed an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 5-7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
