AECOM has an opening for a Senior Electrical / ICA Engineer. The foucus of the role is on the design of Instrumentation, Control and Automation systems for pumps, pump stations and waste water tretment plants.
Develop design drawings, specifications, technical design reports, Calculations and all other documents for Electrical instrumentation and control works of the mega pump stations /Waste Water Treatment Plants/ Reverse Osmosis plants.
Overall engineering and analysis for new pumps stations/treatment plants and modifications to existing plants and pumping stations including equipment modelling and procurement support.
Develop drawings including site plans, plan and elevation views.
Design of utility building services including Lighting, small power, fire alarm and protection system and Earthing and lighting systems, P& ID, Operation and control philosophy, I/O data point schedules, BMS, Low current systems, Interlock and logic diagrams, Loop diagrams, cause and effect schedules, FDS, detailed layouts, cable containments and shielding.
Organize & attend progress meetings/communications with contractors.
To attend site visits as and when required.
To ensure QA/QC is in compliance with specification and requirement of the projects. Ensure clients satisfaction and quality of deliverables
Efficient handling to all EICA design software.
Provide the necessary technical support to the engineers and manage deliverables within CAD and Engineers within the allocated budgets.
Ensure that the Design meets all relevant international Codes and Middle East Standards.
Review of Contractor key shop drawings and major materials submittals when required.
Liaise with other related disciplines and co-ordinate work with them.
Prepare design schedules and assist in preparation of design budgets.
Review design work or studies being carried out by others. Manage consents and approvals.
Monitor and report progress.
Provide support to Field Engineering to resolve Contractor Technical Queries.
Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
10 – 15 years work experience
Water and wastewater treatment project experience across various design stages
Pumping station design experience.
Experience of MCC, PLC/SCADA and instrumentation specification and design.
Full driving license
Middle East experience is advantageous
A degree in electrical engineering.
Membership of/working towards a relevant professional chartered institute, for example IET.
