Job Description

• Develop complete solution of TCS, ITS design and to coordinates with design engineers and CAD operators to prepare plans, designs, specifications and estimates for roadway ITS, Traffic Junctions projects, including Variable Message Signs (VMS), temporary and permanent CCTV cameras, vehicle detection (in-road and non-intrusive), conduit and junction box infrastructure, fiber optic and copper wire communication cabling, field equipment cabinets and wiring, and communications Hubs.

• Develop Field of View and bandwidth calculations of CCTV, and TCS systems

• Develop comprehensive telecommunication plans for ITS, ICT systems.

• Develop Communications System Drawings including for (System schematic design drawing, Fiber cable route, Communications system interface, Fiber Cable Splice Table and Network Block Diagrams)

• Develop ITS Infrastructure Layout sheets.

• Develop Signal Grouping Arrangement, Signal Schematic Diagrams

• Develop design of tunnel management ELV systems, and Server rooms.

• Develop standard detail plans, specifications, and design documents for ITS design projects.

• Collaborate in the design and development of ITS and TCS concepts of operation, including requirements analysis; technology review and selection; and development of communication of operational concepts, and specifications.

• Performs other ICT related responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

• Supports technology team leader in meeting the requirements of the contract in terms of scope, performance, quality, and safety in design and ensure the design is in sense of the client.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelors degree in Telecommunication engineering or equivalent, any additional qualification will be an advantage.

• Experience with Abu Dhabi ITC is a must, and experience with RTA, and Saudi traffic government authorities is an advantage.

• Valid ITS Qualification Certificate (IQC) from AD-ITC.

• Shall has the ability to work well with an international workforce of professional colleagues, clients, and government authorities.

• Minimum 10 years of experience designing traffic control signals, over height vehicle detection systems, weigh-in-motion systems, lane control signals, speed enforcement cameras, red light enforcement cameras, and ramp meters. writing and reviewing ITS reports, basis of design reports, safety studies and related technical documents.
