Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer specializing to join our Construction Supervision team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will oversee the mechanical aspects of a large project, ensuring compliance with design specifications and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
Supervise mechanical installations on construction sites, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems
Review and approve mechanical shop drawings and submittals, ensuring adherence to project specifications
Conduct regular site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications and local building codes
Collaborate with contractors, architects, and other engineering disciplines to resolve technical issues efficiently
Prepare detailed reports on construction progress, quality control measures, and safety protocols
Analyze and optimize mechanical systems for energy efficiency and performance
Manage project timelines and budgets related to mechanical aspects of construction
Participate in project meetings and provide expert technical guidance to the team
Ensure all mechanical installations meet required standards and UAE regulations
Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies for mechanical systems and installations
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution
Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification
Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on construction supervision
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and fire protection systems
Familiarity with building codes and regulations in the UAE, particularly those related to mechanical engineering
