Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Inspector to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring electrical contractors comply with contract documents, coordinating with other teams, and verifying the quality and quantity of work performed.

  • Review and comprehend package contract documents, detailed drawings, specifications, and health and safety measures

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure contractors adhere to standards and specifications outlined in contract documents

  • Perform observations, measurements, and testing to track quality assurance progress

  • Maintain accurate records of contractor manpower and equipment resources on a daily basis

  • Document contractor activities, including personnel, equipment, location, and methods utilized

  • Monitor material deliveries and implement site instructions as directed by leadership

  • Apply and enforce quality control procedures and safety protocols on-site

  • Prepare site measurements and conduct surveying checks as required

  • Monitor conformance to quality, performance, and code requirements through regular inspections

  • Report on health and safety violations in construction works

  • Collaborate with other teams to process inspection requests and technical submittals efficiently

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Engineering required; related degree in Engineering fields preferred for career progression

  • Minimum 7 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years of experience in the UAE

  • Proven experience in electrical-related projects and construction supervision with a consultancy

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical methodologies, installation processes, and Building Codes

  • Proficiency in using electrical inspection tools and equipment

  • Familiarity with local and international electrical codes and standards

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics

  • Experience in various building types, particularly horizontal development, mixed-use residential and commercial, retail, and hospitality projects

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reports in English

  • Detailed knowledge of construction techniques and quality control procedures

  • Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify potential issues

  • Efficient and organized approach to managing multiple inspection tasks and priorities

  • Proficiency in using relevant software for documentation and reporting

  • Safety-conscious with a high level of work ethic and the ability to work under pressure

  • Team player with strong problem-solving skills and professional judgment
